The most obvious answer is money! £10,000 will cover setup costs and allow us to broadcast for two years. We are looking for a two-year budget because we don't want to have to struggle with finances until we are well-established.
So how are we going to find £10,000? Well, we are applying for various charity grants in the hope that one may favour our project. We are also actively looking for a major sponsor from a leading local business as we firmly believe that the cooperation would benefit both parties. As a station, we have a lot to give...
The money is actually only the first step in what will be quite a major undertaking. The team in charge of HRB2 (Andy Read, Paul Sutton and Mark Venus) are working behind-the-scenes to find presenters, select appropriate music and decide upon a format and sound for the new service. Our engineering team (Simon Davies & Malcolm Hall) are also busy working out how everything will fit together to enable Hospital Radio Bedside and HRB2 to work together out of the same studio complex.
