Perhaps our most thankless task is making sure that our listeners know we exist! We have determined that the average length of stay for one of our listeners in only three days so we have to get the word out there every day in order to catch as many as possible.
It is also a struggle to get people to change their listening habits. Many patients would rather listen to the same radio station as when they are not in hospital or would rather not listen at all! It is the job of our publicity organiser and our request collectors to teach our listeners that the service we provide is individual to them.
