Everyone starts their life at Hospital Radio Bedside as a provisional member. After your application has been approved, you will be invited for an interview and, if successful, your provisional membership period will begin immediately.

The first step is your induction, a time for you to get to know the basics. You will also be shown a copy of our PIP (Provisional Involvement Project) - a document which will further outline the possibilities open to you as a new member.

Your provisional membership period will last as long as necessary, but averages at about 6 weeks. It is a time for us to get to know you and, just as importantly, for you to get to know us. After successful completion of the provisional membership period, you are offered full membership.
